Greater protection for sharks in the Caribbean.

Sharks are be granted more protection across the Caribbean Sea, as four new shark sanctuaries are announced. Prime Minister William Marlin of St. Maarten and Wayne Panton, minister of financial services, commerce, and environment for the Cayman Islands, has announced that their exclusive economic zones are completely off limits to commercial shark fishing. Curacao and Grenada have also announced that they will establish legislation this year to protect sharks in their waters.
