Snorkelling with killer whales, Hamn, Norway
13, January 2017 - 20, January 2017$3495
Between October and February, killer whales migrate along the Norwegian coast in search of herring. During the past few years, a major hotspot has been around the small town of Hamn I Senja.
Each morning (weather permitting), we will head out into the fjord in small aluminium boats in search of orcas. Our intention will be to snorkel with pods of orcas while they socialize, play and hunt for herring.
As scuba would be too slow to keep up with the orcas, these encounters take place on snorkel.
And there’s more
We may see whales too whilst looking for the orcas. If so, we will try to get in the water and interact with them also.
Seven nights accommodation in Hamn, Senja, six days on the ocean (weather permitting) looking for orcas and other cetacean species, all meals whilst at the hotel, transfers to/from Bardufoss Airport.
Personal snorkelling equipment rental, flights, gratuities.
US$3495 per person double occupancy
